Bar Admission

 > Bar Admission

Our experts have been featured in press numerous times

As a law student, you are already under pressure with lectures, reading assignments, and exams. Not to mention the impending
bar examination. What can add to this already stressful situation are bar admission issues? If the Florida Board of Bar Examiners
(FBBE) believes you have issues of commission, it will give them cause to investigate you and make further inquiries. These
could include:

  • Law violations
  • Ethical issues in college or law school
  • Serious financial issues (including failure to pay taxes on-time)
  • Drug or alcohol issues
  • Issues of omission relating to any required information on your bar application for admission

Schedule your initial case review today.
We are ready to guide your way.
Are you a law student seeking bar admission in Florida?
Whether you have already been contacted by the FBBE about a bar admissions issue or you are concerned about a possible issue,
it is critical to seek legal advice now rather than Later.

Character and Fitness
Do not fool yourself if you think “they couldn’t possibly find out.” The FBBE scrupulously reviews each law student’s application of
admission to the bar. This includes past indiscretions. What is of particular concern is an applicant’s “character and fitness:’
Omissions on an application will only Lead the board to investigate further. Character and fitness can involve anything from
criminal conduct and financial history to employment history, litigation, and even a simple traffic ticket. You must disclose
everything. Even after you submit your application, you have a continuing obligation to report any future conduct that relates to
your character and fitness to practice law, in according with the Rules of the Supreme Court Relating to Admissions to The Bar.
You are strongly advised to review these rules and take them very seriously. The board will even compare your application to law
schoo~ to see if there are any discrepancies.
So, whether you are facing further inquiry or need assistance with a ·gray” area, it is always better to double-check, rather than be
scrambling when it may be too late. Do not waste the past three or four years of your life. Take action immediately with the help
of the Law Office of Carlos A. Baradat, P.A.
